Pellets formulated by glass type, custom profile tooling, diamond micron powder and polishing consumables — for precision grinding of optical lenses, sapphire, automotive lighting glass and prism chamfers. Grit and bond matched to your process.
Pellets are specified by glass type, not by grit alone. Choosing the wrong grade is more common than choosing the wrong grit.

View detailsSuperhard consumables prove themselves in the process. These four areas account for most of our shipments.
Roughing, fine grinding and polishing of K9, ZF flint and quartz optics, with pellets matched to lapping plates.
Thinning and grinding of watch crystals, windows and substrates — material-specific formulations balance removal rate against chipping.
Curved fine grinding and edge chamfering of borosilicate lenses and lamp covers, plated to the lamp geometry.
Edge chamfering and groove forming on prisms and flat glass; profile and groove tools made to drawing.
We are not a catalogue trader. We do one thing well: diamond pellets — formulated by material, formed to drawing, consistent batch to batch.
K9, ZF, borosilicate and sapphire differ widely in hardness and brittleness. Bond hardness and concentration are adjusted separately to reduce chipping and scratching.
Profile pellets, groove and chamfer moulds and prism chamfering discs are machined to drawing, sample or scanned part. Small batches welcome.
We supply matched sets by plate diameter, carrier count and fixture interface, so your operators can load and run.
Fixed process parameters and raw material sources; long-term customers can lock a batch specification.
Grit numbers follow the GB/T 2481 series — the lower the number, the finer the grain. These are the grades most used on the shop floor.
| Grit | Particle size | Typical stage | Common bond |
|---|---|---|---|
| W40 | 40 – 28 μm | Roughing, stock removal, high removal rate | Bronze / resin |
| W28 | 28 – 20 μm | Roughing finish, form correction | Bronze |
| W14 | 14 – 10 μm | Semi-finishing, even stock for fine grinding | Bronze / resin |
| W7 | 7 – 5 μm | Fine grinding, size and roughness control | Resin |
| W3.5 | 3.5 – 2.5 μm | Super-finishing, removing the damaged layer | Resin |
| W1.5 | 1.5 – 1 μm | Polishing, mirror finish | Resin / pad |
Note: typical relationships only. Micron powder covers W0.5 – W100. Final selection depends on material, spindle speed and pressure. Read the selection guide →
Glass type or workpiece material, stock to remove, target roughness and machine model — we will suggest a grit and bond combination, and send samples if needed.
